Traditional Thai Massage
The benefits of Thai massage include relief from asthma, migraines, sprains, bruises, anxiety, relief of physical and emotional tension, improved sleep, improved flexibility, greater awareness of body and mind, and a release of blocked energy. While Swedish massage permits the recipient to zone out and relax, Thai massage treatments encourage the recipient to become more engaged and energised, for increased mindfulness.
Thai Hot Herbal Compress
Herbal Body Compress Ball (Herbal Ball) has been used as an ancient healing system for chronic problems such as back pain for many centuries in Thailand.
It commonly compliments a traditional massage. This type of treatment is said to be particularly good for muscle aches and pain. This is carried out by applying soothing strokes to massage you, to relieve sore muscles, stimulate circulation, as well as to increase energy flow that is vital for health.
Sports Massage
Sports Massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. This treatment is for injuries or problem areas and it is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. The body is treated using a combination of massage techniques, including soft tissue release, neuromuscular technique and acupressure.
Thai Herbal Aromatherapy Massage
Aromatherapy involves the use of essential oils in holistic treatments to improve physical and emotional
well-being. Essential oils extracted from plants possess distinctive therapeutic properties, which can be utilised to improve health and prevent disease. These natural plant oils are applied in a variety of ways according to the needs of the customer.
Thai Foot Massage
Though the title implies only feet are tended to, in actuality lower legs also receive attention during a traditional Thai foot massage.
After cleansing, the feet are anointed with a skin lotion or oil and reflex points are stimulated with fingers and occasionally a small wooden stick. Force is applied tenderly and precisely to specific nerve endings at the bottom of the feet.
Deep Tissue Massage
This Deep Tissue Massage includes décolleté massage, arms, legs, back, neck and shoulders, Indian Head Massage and Reflexology (Foot Massage) either or option available, to be discussed on the day with your therapist. The pressure is deep, this is a deep tissue massage that includes Swedish massage and Lymphatic Drainage, it’s a great stress buster.
Indian Head Massage
A very calming and relaxing massage that concentrates specifically on the upper back, shoulders, arms, neck, face and scalp. Benefits include relief from stress, muscular pain, eye strain, tension headaches & sinus problems, also improves blood circulation, scalp & hair condition, concentration levels & sleep patterns. There is some chakra work too.
Swedish Massage
Unlike the more spiritual disciplines associated with Eastern types of massage, Swedish massage is based entirely on Western concepts of anatomy and physiology. Swedish massage is probably the most common and widespread massage technique in the West. It is the foundational technique on which many Western styles of massage are based, such as deep tissue muscle massage and aromatherapy massage.
Tension Release Massage
A deep back, shoulder and neck massage, this treatment works on the areas where stress builds up. It can help to relieve back pain, shoulder and neck pain, soothing the nerves and removing toxins.
Thai Foot Care (Massage & Dermabrasion)
Our new treatment of Thai Foot Care includes massage and dermabrasion to help make your feet feel revitalised and smooth
Sciatica Massage
The sciatic nerve sits underneath a muscle called the piriformis, which is located beneath the glutes. “When the piriformis muscle gets tight, it pinches the sciatic nerve, causing tingling and numbness down into the leg,” says Moon Thai Massage Spa. We apply pressure to irritated and inflamed areas, or trigger points, in the piriformis muscle, as well as in muscles in the lower back and glutes. Typically, Moon Thai Massage Spa schedules treatments are 7 to 10 days apart.
Pregnancy Massage
Prenatal massage shares many of the goals of regular massage – to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and just make you feel good. But it’s also tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies, and therapists who are trained in prenatal massage adjust their techniques accordingly.

Thai Stone Massage
This type of therapeutic massage is similar to a Swedish massage, only the massage therapist uses heated stones in lieu of or in addition to their hands. It eases muscle tension, improves blood flow, and relieves pain by using heated stones.
Thai Bamboo Massage
Typically, bamboo massage utilises 4 to 15-inch bamboo stick to apply pressure, kneading, and stroking techniques in order to stretch the fascia in various directions. Longer and thicker sticks are used for gliding strokes, whereas smaller and thinner sticks are used for more detailed work. In general, longer and thicker sticks are used for massaging large muscles such as back and thighs, while shorter and thinner sticks are used for small muscles such as hands and feet.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Lymph drainage massage has become a popular form of massage due to its potential health benefits. This specialised approach focuses on the lymphatic system, which is part of the immune system. This type of massage aims to help the body maintain proper blood circulation, body fluid balance, and immune functions
Gua Sha Massage
Facial Gua Sha is a massage technique designed to relieve tension in the muscles of the face, boost blood circulation, and encourage lymphatic drainage to banish bloat. It helps break up fascia, the connective tissue that hugs muscles but can sometimes interfere with optimal circulation.
Cupping Massage
Cupping is a type of alternative therapy that originated in China. It involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. The suction may facilitate healing with blood flow. Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This may relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue.
